Pakistan bowlers did a better job in restricting South Africa from scoring big. Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Abbas, & Hasan Ali all picked 2 wickets each. Faheem Ashraf picked 3 wickets and Shadab Khan picked a wicket.

Pakistan batsmen arrived for first innings and lost the first two wickets in fourth over scoring 6 runs of Shan Masood (2 runs in 7 balls) & Azhar Ali (duck out). Imam-ul-Haq played until 33.2 overs and scored 43 runs in 105 balls. Babar Azam (49 runs in 55 balls) & Sarfraz Ahmed (50 runs in 40 balls) were main contributors for Pakistan’s first innings total of 185 runs all out in 49.4 overs.

Duanne Olivier lead South African bowlers picking 5 wickets, Vernon Philander picked 3 wickets, and Kagiso Rabada picked 2 wickets in restricting Pakistan in their first innings.

South Africa started their second innings on the second day afternoon of this South Africa vs Pakistan (2018 – 2019) Third Test Match. Hashim Amla arrived for second wicket in fifth over and got out caught by Sarfraz for Hasan Ali and scored responsible 71 runs in 144 balls. Quinton de Kock scored an amazing ton scoring 129 runs in 138 balls with 18 4s and a six and got out as 8th wicket caught Hasan Ali in Shadab Khan’s bowling, which lead the team’s total to reach 300 runs. Pakistan batsmen arrived for their second innings on the latter session of third day. Opening batsmen scored 67 runs for first wicket. Imam-ul-Haq (35 runs in 65 balls), Shan Masood (37 runs in 66 balls) both players caught by de Kock for Dale Steyn. Pakistan was 153/3 in the end of the third day. Asad Shafiq (65 runs 71 balls) & Babar Azam resumed the play on fourth day. Shadab Khan was not out 47 runs in 66 balls was the other main contributor. Rest of the Pakistani players failed to perform to reach their target. Pakistan scored 273 runs losing 10 wickets in 65.4 overs.

Duanne Olivier & Kagiso Rabada again dominated Pakistanis with balls and picked 3 wickets each. Dale Steyn picked 2 wickets in this second innings of South Africa vs Pakistan (2018 – 2019) Third Test Match. Vernon Philander picked a wicket. Quinton de Kock displayed a amazing performance the first four wickets in this innings were caught by him.
