On the fourth day, Agarwal & Pant resumed play for their second innings. Pant’s score started to increase in 28.2 overs of Cummins with inside edge and missed catch by Paine for 2 runs. In 29.2 overs, Agarwal hit Lyon for a six in long off. Agarwal again scored maximum in 29.4 overs over straight. Pant sliced Lyon’s bowling to the point to hit a boundary in 31.2 overs. Agarwal guided Cummins’ bowling to four runs. Agarwal was out bowled by Pat Cummins for 42 runs in 102 balls with four 4s and two 6s in the end of 33 overs. Thus, Agarwal joined the list of reputation for Indian batting line-up. Pant hit a four in 35th over punching the ball away through sweeper. Jadeja sliced Cummins for four in 36.2 overs. The next ball Khawaja caught Jadeja for Cummins diving forward in gully. Pant smashed a six straight down Hazlewood in 37.2 overs. The very next ball Paine caught Pant with one-handed jumping through right. Pant was out 33 runs in 43 balls three 4s and a six. Thus, Kohli decided to declare the innings 106/8 in 37.3 overs setting target of 399 runs for Australia to win this match in this Australia vs India (2018 – 2019) Third Test Match.

Travish Head scored a responsible 34 runs in 92 balls got out bowled by Ishant Sharma in 50.3 overs, as sixth wicket. Tim Paine played for a while scoring 26 runs on the fourth day with Cummins and got out caught by Pant in Jadeja’s 62nd over. Cummins together with Nathan Lyon were on the crease after the wicket of Mitchell Starc (18 runs in 27 balls) losing 8 wickets needing 141 runs to win on the end of fourth day in their second innings of Australia vs India (2018 – 2019) Third Test Match.

Pat Cummins (63 runs in 114 balls with five 4s and a six) was the top scorer for Australia in this chase. Cummins hit Jadeja for a six in 66th over.
